George
G. Khouri, M.D.
completed his
ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago and his
fellowship in retinal diseases at Harvard Medical School. Prior
to opening his practice in West Palm Beach, he served on the
faculty of Tufts University for four years, where he was awarded
two research grants on macular degeneration. He also spent seven
months as a volunteer ophthalmologist in India, Kenya, and Nepal. |
A summa cum laude graduate
of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Dr. Khouri received
his M.D. from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine. He then spent one year conducting eye research at Johns Hopkins
University before starting his ophthalmology residency.
Dr. Khouri is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and
is a Fellow of the American
Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society
of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society
of Refractive Surgery, and is listed in Who's
Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Outstanding
Young Men in America. He has lectured at national conferences,
has had his work published, and continues to conduct research in
eye diseases.
Dr. Khouri is fluent in French,
Arabic, English, and Spanish. Several of his staff are fluent in
Spanish.
